James Cameron is working hard on the new Avatar sequels. The devices, props, and machinery used to make movies still amazes most. In the tweet Mr. Cameron posted today it shows “The Matador (a 50’ forward command boat) on a 16-ton, 360 degree motion-control base. Three Technocranes and a Russian Arm mounted on top of a Mercedes-Benz.”
Woah. As John Hammond would say “Spared no expense”! James then goes on to say “Just another day on the set of the Avatar sequels.” If the sets are requiring machinery like this we can only hope the movies will be just as epic as the sets.
The real question is who gets to keep “The Matador” after production? I for one would love to ride on that bad boy in open waters to scare some tourists off a well traveled island. Maybe they can bring it to Disney and add it as part of the Avatar experience for people to ride? One can only hope that is the case but I have a feeling this will end up in James Cameron’s backyard.

Disney is going to benefit greatly from the release of these movie once theme parks are in full swing. Disney has Pandora – The World of AVATAR which people will likely flock to after the movie’s release. As people patiently await the release we can wish that there is an EPIC scene involving “The Matador” so we can scream out in theaters “I saw that tweet when it was being made!”. Although that might disrupt the moviegoers so let’s just keep this here on the internet. We know that Matador’s are those that tame bulls so I wonder if there is a reasoning behind its name. Are there going to be bulls in this movie?
I know I for one am looking forward to a visit to Disney World.
