It is mid-September and the holiday aisle is already arguing with itself. Chocolate calendars still exist. So do beauty ones. The fun pile for this desk is the pop culture stack: LEGO doors, Funko vinyl doors, storybook doors at the warehouse clubs, and a Pokémon figure calendar at Costco that keeps getting confused for the TCG one.

I spent the week checking Amazon, Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, Target, and the brand shops. Prices move. Stock moves. Walmart product pages sometimes hide behind a human check. What follows is the verified 2026 pop culture advent and countdown calendar map as of September 13, 2026, with a photo and buy links for each one.

If the box says Pokémon TCG and has 25 doors, that is the card calendar. If it has 24 doors and battle figures, that is the Costco trap.

LEGO's 2026 five-pack

LEGO shipped five Advent calendars for 2026. Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney Princess sit at $44.99 MSRP. City and Friends sit at $34.99. Sam's Club storybook Advents

Sam's Club is not doing chocolate here. It is doing 24 mini books. Hip2Save spotted the wave in clubs starting around $14.84 for Disney options. Live product pages on September 13 showed member pricing that can sit a little higher depending on club versus online. Availability is per warehouse.

Costco's Pokémon calendar (read the box)

Costco warehouses have been stocking a Pokémon Holiday Calendar as item 1929673 at $44.99. Deal accounts keep calling it the 2026 Pokémon Advent. The trap, which NinePocket documented clearly, is that this is the Jazwares battle-figure calendar (24 doors, nineteen 2-inch figures with an exclusive finish, five accessories). It is not the Pokémon TCG Holiday Calendar (25 doors, boosters and foils).

If you want sealed card product, do not impulse-buy this box because the shelf tag says Holiday Calendar. If you want figures, Costco is undercutting the about $49.99 preorder price Hello Subscription quoted for the same Jazwares style pack. Stock is per warehouse. Online Costco may be empty for your ZIP while the aisle is full. For actual TCG auction homework, keep using desks like the BidZoo auction map instead of trusting a warehouse endcap.

How I would shop this week

If you want brick builds, start at LEGO.com or Walmart while Bricktember pricing still prints, then mirror-check Target on Star Wars and Marvel. If you want vinyl, Amazon is the fastest Funko stack, with Target as a backup on Bitty Star Wars and Hello Kitty. If you want books instead of sugar, Sam's Club is the storybook lane. If you want Pokémon, decide figures versus cards before you leave the Costco parking lot.

One more adult rule. Advent calendars sell out early and then return as January markdowns. If the IP matters more than the door ritual, buy now. If you just want any countdown object, wait for the post-Halloween panic discounts. I am filing the map, not inventing a moral about waiting.

Buy the IP you actually open in December. Everything else is a January markdown.
