Absolute Batman is a shipping window now. The axe finally has a season.

Iron Studios Absolute Batman 1:10 Art Scale sits at about $249.99 to $255 with Sideshow pointing at October through December 2026. The Absolute Universe statue left the reveal phase.

Iron Studios Absolute Batman is no longer a distant Comic-Con rumor. It is a 1:10 Art Scale statue with a shipping window that retailers are printing in late 2026 language while I write on September 3. Sideshow lists the piece at $255 with expected ship October through December 2026, SKU 915108, about 10 inches tall, 9.4 inches wide, 6.2 inches deep, 2.8 pounds. Bleeding Cool's reveal coverage put Iron Studios' own store at $249.99 with an October 2026 release target when preorders opened. Some specialty shops print September 2026. Others print Q4. The honest sentence is that Absolute Batman is in the shipping season now, not the announcement season.

Absolute Batman is Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta's Absolute Universe take, launched October 9, 2024 at DC. Bruce Wayne as a working-class civil engineer, bigger and meaner, axe included. Iron Studios claims the first Absolute Batman collectible statue, ten inches, unique batsuit, custom cape, Bat-symbol battle axe. Bleeding Cool walked those beats when the preorder went live. Sideshow's product page is shorter and stiffer: limited edition, highly detailed, hand-painted, Art Scale 1:10, limit ten per person. Prototype disclaimer as always. I am not inventing paint apps. I am saying the axe Batman finally has a polystone appointment on the calendar.

The comic Batman with the axe ships before the year ends. The movie Batmobile is a different religion.

September is when statue collectors stop refreshing reveal galleries and start refreshing ship emails. That is the tone of this brief. Absolute Batman has been orderable long enough for the secondary whisper mill to invent scarcity. The manufacturer window is still Q4 2026 on the big retailers I trust. If your local shop printed September, treat it as an estimate, not a blood oath. Polystone slips. Everyone in this hobby knows that. What matters is that the piece is no longer someday. It is this fall or this winter.

Price talk with sources attached. Sideshow $255. Iron Studios store $249.99 per Bleeding Cool. European Iron Studios listing I checked prints €229.99 with a third-quarter 2026 note that may or may not survive contact with a warehouse. High Noon Comics has a September 2026 preorder tag at $349.99, which is a specialty markup I will not pretend is MSRP. I am using Sideshow and Iron's own figures as the fair street. Two hundred fifty dollars for a ten-inch Absolute Batman is the modern 1:10 conversation: cheaper than a Prime 1 event piece, expensive enough that you feel the axe in your budget.

The hero still is Iron Studios' own promotional close-up: spiked gorget, waffle chest plate, white eyes, utility belt, cape edge, Art Scale 1/10 mark, pending-approval watermark from the early gallery. That is the Absolute look Dragotta sold on the page, compressed into polystone marketing. If you wanted Keaton's Returns silhouette, that is a different aisle and a different material. Brick cars and resin axes do not share a shelf without looking like a yard sale. I say that as someone who wants both and knows the living room will judge me.

$255 is not a minifigure. It is a civil engineer in spikes.

Why Absolute Batman matters on a statues desk in early September 2026 is simple. The Absolute line is still the loudest DC comic reboot in the room. Statue companies chase the loud comics. Iron Studios got there first with a 1:10 that can sit beside other Art Scale heroes without demanding a glass coffin. Ten inches is displayable. Twenty-five inches would be a different religion and a different marriage conversation. The axe accessory is the meme that sells people who do not read monthlies. That is not an insult. That is how statues eat comics IP.

Compare the shipping window to the theatrical statue industrial complex without inventing Doomsday numbers. Iron Studios has also been dumping Avengers: Doomsday 1:10 pieces into preorder: Gambit around $179.99, Thor around $179.99, with Q4 2026 language on Bleeding Cool's coverage. Those are movie likeness bets. Absolute Batman is a comic likeness bet. Same manufacturer calendar. Different faiths. If your shelf is already an MCU airport, Absolute is the DC intrusion. If your shelf is already Snyder-era bats and Dragotta spines, Absolute is the obvious centerpiece and the movie statues are the distraction.

Scale honesty. Art Scale 1:10 means Absolute Batman will look correct next to other Iron Studios 1:10 DC and Marvel pieces and wrong next to sixth-scale hot toys. Do not mix religions unless you enjoy chaos. Weight is listed around 2.8 pounds on Sideshow. That is a real object on a real shelf, not a PVC prize figure. Hand-painted polystone means you inspect seams when it arrives and you photograph the axe before you forgive anything. Limited edition means the number on the box will become a personality online. I will not invent the edition size because Sideshow's public copy on the page I used does not print it in the extract I trust.

The footprint deserves its own paragraph because nine-point-four inches wide by six-point-two deep is the information that kills a preorder after the deposit. Ten inches tall sounds small beside quarter scale. The cape and shoulders make it broad. The axe makes negative space. You need a shelf with headroom and side room, not a narrow Detolf cubby already full of black capes. Measure now. Do not wait for the shipping notice and discover Gotham will not fit.

The pending-approval mark on early photography is another honest warning. Sideshow says the item shown is a prototype and the final production piece may differ. That sentence is legal boilerplate and a collector survival guide. Paint gradients can soften. Spikes can arrive less sharp. Belts can drift. I am not predicting a bad final. I am refusing to pretend a studio-lit prototype is the box you will unfoam in November. Statues are promises made in resin and fulfilled in factories.

Preorder hygiene for September. If you already paid a deposit in December 2025 or whenever your retailer opened the slot, you are in the waiting room with the rest of us. If you are entering now, check whether your shop is still taking orders or quietly sold through. Sideshow's limit of ten per person is a joke aimed at bots and also a reminder that the company expects demand. I would not buy ten. I would buy one and leave the axe clones to the people who flip statues like sneakers.

Shipping-window language matters. October through December is not October 1. It is a quarter. Specialty retailers can receive stock after the direct channel. International orders can collect customs delays. European VAT and duties are separate facts depending on destination. I will not give tax advice in a Batman article. I will tell you the arrival date on your retailer page is more useful than the announcement month on a blog.

There is a small cruelty in making working-class Batman a $255 collectible. The character loses the Wayne fortune and gains a polystone price tag. I appreciate the joke enough to buy it and resent it enough to print it. Absolute Batman's appeal is that Bruce has to engineer his tools instead of inheriting a cave full of capital. Iron Studios turns that working-class fantasy into a limited-edition luxury object. Collectibles always eat the politics of the thing they sell. The axe still looks good.

Buy Absolute Batman if Absolute is the Batman you actually read and you have a 1:10 row that needs a civil engineer with spikes. Buy it if the battle axe is the only Batman meme you still think is funny. Skip it if you only want theatrical Keaton or Pattinson likenesses. Skip it if $255 is your whole collectibles budget for the quarter and you would rather keep powder dry for a bigger Prime 1 event. Skip it if your retailer is asking $350 without explaining why. Markup is not lore.

My own plan is to treat the Sideshow October to December window as the real calendar and to stop refreshing specialty shops that promise September like it is a personality. I want the axe in hand before the Absolute comics cool off. I want the statue on a riser that does not share space with a Batmobile, because those are different sermons. Iron Studios got there first. $249.99 to $255 is the fair band. Shipping is the news. The comic Batman with the axe is finally a fall object, not a press release.
