Saturday morning is the plastic till. Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar Sons of Behemat wave goes up for preorder on Saturday, September 12, around 1 p.m. ET in the States, with a street date of Saturday, September 26, for store shelves. I am filing the Gargant carton as a miniatures desk story, not as another lore tour through Ghur you already scrolled past on Warhammer Community.

Sons of Behemat spent years without much new plastic to buy. Now an entire wave lands on one preorder page: Ma Maegran, Chooser of the Mighty; Boss-stompers; the Stomper Tribe box; Brawlers of Behemat; the Sons of Behemat Battletome; Warscroll Cards; and faction dice. Spikey Bits priced the US aisle on September 8. Ma Maegran at one hundred ninety five dollars. Boss-stompers at one hundred seventy two. Stomper Tribe at two hundred eighty. Brawlers of Behemat at three hundred fifteen. Battletome at sixty five. Warscroll Cards and dice at thirty five each. Prices outside the US vary. Check GW on preorder day for your region's exact tags.

While stocks last is the adult warning on two of the Gargant boxes. Stomper Tribe and Brawlers of Behemat carry that language, and Spikey Bits flags them as the kits most likely to walk first. Stomper Tribe packs a Warstomper Mega-Gargant and three Mancrusher Gargants built around new Stomper Tribe Army of Renown rules. Brawlers of Behemat is a standalone boxed game with two complete Mega-Gargants, rules for Warstomper, Gatebreaker, or Kraken-eater builds, and ruined Embergard terrain. Most buyers will treat Brawlers as two Mega-Gargant kits plus terrain, not as a desperate need for another standalone ruleset. GW is not hiding that angle.

Saturday is the Gargant preorder. While-stocks-last plastic is the chase.

Boss-stompers are the core kit argument. Three Boss-stompers in the box, or build all three as Rock-hurlers instead. Those three Rock-hurlers also make up the new Sons of Behemat Spearhead. One kit covers melee, shooting, and the faction Spearhead start. New players chase it to begin. Existing Mega-Gargant collectors chase it because five years of the same giant silhouette finally gets a different set of shoulders. Shoulders decide the pose. Spikey Bits hobby notes say pick the build before you glue arms, and magnetize if you want both. That is adult hobby advice wearing a Saturday alarm.

Ma Maegran is the support piece the faction never really had. A mystical witch who chooses which Gargant gets even more enormous, backed by a pair of Ancient Ghyrochs that gore anything too close. Sons of Behemat lists have traditionally been a handful of enormous profiles expected to solve their own problems. A buff caster that makes the giants you already brought better is a different army conversation than another set of legs. Different conversations are why waves matter.

I already filed October assassin plastic as a warehouse till in October still owns the assassin plastic.

What I will not do is invent points, win rates, or Battletome secrets beyond the public preview language. The Battletome covers Gargant tribes in the Mortal Realms and activity in Ghur, plus new battle traits, the new Spearhead force, and Path to Glory content. There is a standard hardback and a smaller Gamer's Edition with thirty three warscroll cards that is also while stocks last. Card scarcity on the edition that includes the cards remains irritating for regular players. Irritating is a product pattern, not a conspiracy theory.

A Spearhead kit that also shoots rocks is how a starved faction gets a start lane.

Practical shopper note. Set the Saturday alarm if you want Stomper Tribe or Brawlers. Leave Boss-stompers and the Battletome for payday if your bank account needs a week. Allocation fog is normal. Rage posting about fog is optional. Useful is a text to the independent shop that already holds your Necromunda pipe kit hostage.

Cross the aisle and remember Ravenloft's February carton is a different kind of gothic table presence. Co-op board game nights and Mega-Gargant plastic nights can share a hobby without sharing a budget. Budgets are consent. Consent is how dining tables survive September.

That Ravenloft till still sits in February is the Ravenloft carton.

Thursday wire. Sons of Behemat preorder September 12 around 1 p.m. ET, street September 26, Ma Maegran, Boss-stompers with Rock-hurler and Spearhead builds, Stomper Tribe and Brawlers while stocks last, Battletome with Gamer's Edition cards, dice and warscroll accessories. The plastic is the till date. The Ghur lore is the costume. Preorder if your army needs shoulders that are not another Mega-Gargant clone. Wait if your paint queue is already a gray mountain. Either way, the miniatures aisle finally has a Gargant receipt week instead of a five year shrug.

One Miles selfish want. I want Boss-stompers to read from three feet away as disciplined giants, not as the same silhouette with a new sprue code. Silhouette is table presence. Table presence is why people clear space without being bribed. Bribes are snacks. Snacks help. Presence still has to earn the chairs.

Paint season reminder, filed as opinion. Pin the Warstomper. Mega-Gargants punish lazy joints the first time a box gets knocked over. Paint Mancrushers as a batch with shared flesh and different trophies. Finish Embergard ruins before the giants if you buy Brawlers, because terrain abandoned for a year is how joy becomes guilt. Guilt is optional if you plan like an adult.

Five years without much new Sons of Behemat plastic is the emotional context Spikey Bits keeps stressing, and I agree with the emotion. Starved factions create Saturday alarms. Saturday alarms create while-stocks-last theater. Theater is annoying and still rational when the only new Spearhead kit also doubles as the shooting unit and the melee unit. Rational hobbies set alarms. Irrational hobbies refresh the page at 12:58 and blame destiny.

Box math on Brawlers of Behemat deserves a calm minute. Three hundred fifteen dollars US for two Mega-Gargant kits plus Embergard ruins is either a gift or a trap depending on whether you already own giants. If you own zero, it is a fast army start wearing a standalone game costume. If you own four, it is terrain and duplicate options. Duplicate options are fine when builds differ. Builds differ when you commit to Gatebreaker versus Kraken-eater before the glue cures.

Middle-earth Battlehosts landing the same preorder week are a cousin distraction, not the desk. Theoden, Legolas, and Bolg Battlehosts with free downloadable Battlehost rules are a different recruitment pitch: two people, two boxes, play without buying a rulebook stack first. Useful. Not Gargants. Stay on the giants if that is why you set the alarm.

I want the Battletome to give all this fresh plastic a reason to stay on the table past release weekend. Fresh plastic without staying power becomes a closet documentary. Closet documentaries are how hobbies shame themselves on camera. Camera shame is optional if the battle traits and Path to Glory tools make Mega-Gargants feel like an army instead of a handful of lonely profiles solving every problem with feet.

Close the tab on fake preorder times. The till time in the public filing is around 1 p.m. ET Saturday. Put it on a phone alarm. Refuse Discord leaks that invent free extras. Invented extras are a competitive hobby. Competitive hobbies can wait until after the Gargants are in the cart for real.
