Many of you have seen the rumors floating around about Will Poulter playing Adam Warlock. There has been a lot of support for the actor to play the role but nobody knew for sure if it was confirmed until James Gunn released this tweet and Will Poulter responded:
He played exactly the character that you would think he looks like, if that makes any sense at all.
Adam Warlock is quite a different character and while there is a lot of support I am sure a lot of people are wondering, “Can he pull it off?”. The mix of comedy and drama that he brings to the table is likely perfect for James Gunn’s directing style and the tone that Guardians of the Galaxy films have already set. A movie that can literally take the exact same line and make it funny and emotionally devastating at the exact same time is likely perfect for Will Poulter.
You may be wondering what line but think hard…”I am Groot”. In the first edition this line both made audiences laugh and also made them cry like they had never cried before. Directing writing, and tone like that is perfect for Will Poulter. Everyone is excited to see what is next for him and it sound like the world wasn’t big enough so he is now joining the galaxy.
